About ‘Feministisk festival’
Some say feminism has gone too far. We say, feminism hasn’t gone far enough and it’s time to go further!
Since 2014, Feminist Festival has been organized in Malmö by the Malmö Feminist Network. The festival is open to everyone, no matter who you are or what knowledge you have. We focus on activism, learning, culture and creating a safe space where people can meet, share and have fun.
The program includes seminars, workshops, film screening, and performances. The festival is free.
Over the years, the festival has taken place at several venues in Malmö, including Folkets Park, Panora, Inkonst, the City Archives, Moriskan, Grand and STPLN.
Last year’s theme wap ”Feminism and Climate Justice”, where we explored the connections between feminist perspectives and the climate crisis through discussions, workshops, and creative sessions.
The festival is a non-profit initiative built on the engagement of many individuals and grassroots organizations. Together we make the festival happen! We collaborate with ABF Malmö and the City of Malmö, who support the festival both practically and financially.
