About ‘Feministisk festival’
Some say feminism has gone too far. We say, feminism hasn’t gone far enough and it’s time to go further!
Since 2014, Feminist Festival has been organized in Malmö by the Malmö Feminist Network. The festival is open to everyone, no matter who you are or what knowledge you have. We focus on activism, learning, culture and creating a safe space where people can meet, share and have fun.
The program includes seminars, workshops, film screening, and performances. The festival is free.
Over the years, the festival has taken place at several venues in Malmö, including Folkets Park, Panora, Inkonst, the City Archives, Moriskan, Grand and STPLN.
Last year’s theme was ”Feminism and Climate Justice”, where we explored the connections between feminist perspectives and the climate crisis through discussions, workshops, and creative sessions.
The theme for 2026 is ”Violence”, where we want to discuss normalisation, language, representation and resistence, and how violence is connected to power, economy and democracy. How can we reshape, unlearn and abolish the structures of violence? How can we create the conditions for justice, accountability and healing in a time marked by fear, hatred and control?
The festival is a non-profit initiative built on the engagement of many individuals and grassroots organizations. Together we make the festival happen! We collaborate with ABF Malmö, City of Malmö and STPLN, who support the festival both practically and financially.
